The Selfie Project – March to May<\/h1>\n

Well, here we are into our fifth two month segment and getting close to the end of this project. I cannot say I will be sorry. It has been a challenge to come up with interesting phots and, as you can see, I often fail in that goal. It is amazing how much time this actually takes.<\/p>\n

I have already chosen next years project but you will have to wait to hear about it. But it should be fun. Stay tuned.<\/p>\n

15 March 2021 – With all of the pictures of me with a coffee cup you might get the idea that I do nothing but drink coffee. Well ….\u00a0 OK, so what? I like it! Every morning I sit here and have my coffee and read the news on my smartphone. Rituals are good!<\/em><\/p>\n

16 March 2021 – I am taking a coffee break sitting on the Great Wall. It is finished at this end and I am working on the far end now. It will look so much better when the garden grows over it.<\/em><\/p>\n

19 March 2021 – Working on the Wall. Almost to the end now but there is still lots to do. I have to finishe the Wall itself and then there is the sidewalk to level.<\/em><\/p>\n

20 March 2021 – Check out the tomato plants. This time every year the kitchen window sill is full of seeds in dirt waitig for them to sprout. These have already begun and in another two weeks they will be set outside.<\/em><\/p>\n

30 April 2021 – Leek soup to-night. Cooking this soup is one of my jobs. It’s really simple. Cut up the leeks really fine and saute in a pot with onions and garlic. Add chicken broth and several chopped potatoes. Cook until everything is soft and then blend it with my Braun hand blender. Add some cream and bring it back to simmer. Then serve with parsley and butter or sour cream. It is a very mild soup with a gentle flavor. Love it!<\/em><\/p>\n
