Unfortunately, the world being what it is, we have to be careful that we understand what are the Terms and Conditions ( the “Terms”) that govern the relationship between you and the Webmaster, R. Flynn Marr (“Flynn”). I know that all such pages are hard to read and understand so I will try to keep it simple and short.

The very first rule is that we are polite to each other. I already restrict comments because I have no use for the rude nonsense that we get on the unfiltered internet. Everything on this site is reviewed before posting and anything that can be construed as rude or offensive will not make it to these pages and may lead me to blocking some URL’s.

With that said, here is the technical stuff that you should know and that we will rely on if we run into any disputes. You really should read it all carefully before using this website “flynngraphics.ca” and/or “thecanoncollector.com” (the “Website”).

This Website was created to compliment my hobby of photography and I am happy to share that hobby with you. But your use of this website is voluntary on your part and it is governed by these Terms. If you see things you don’t like, don’t get upset, just go away. By using this website, you certify that you have read and understood these Terms and that you agree with them and/or agree to comply with them.

Purpose

The purpose of the Website is to voluntarily exchange information about cameras and camera collecting and to provide a means of acquiring examples my photography. The information provided here is true to the best of my knowledge but no responsibility for its accuracy is assumed. You must use your own judgement in that regard. Any damages that you incur by using directly or indirectly the information on this Website are your responsibility and none attaches to Flynn.

Politeness

I have absolutely no tolerance for rude people. Anyone who exhibits hostile or rude behavior will be blacklisted immediately. We do our best to be helpful and polite and we expect the same from our visitors.

We do not permit you to post directly on this Website but we do try to respond to all communications received through the “Contact Me” page but this is not always possible. Such communications are held in strict confidence and any use of such communication will only be made after permission from the author has been received.

Privacy Policy

There are various places on this site we request personal information. The only thing we actually keep for future use are names and e-mail addresses. Nothing else. Addresses and financial information are kept for the transaction they are connected to and then deleted.

We absolutely do not share data with anyone and we give no third parties permission to take data off of our website. We do not give out or sell contact lists.

Your e-mail address will not be added to our Newsletter mailing list without prior permission and any request that we remove your address from that list will be immediately honored.

Limitation of Liability

The contents of the Website are provided “as is” without warranty or guarantees of any kind whatsoever.

Intellectual Property

The writing on this Website and the photographs are subject to the copyright of Flynn and nothing here may be utilized, copied, transmitted or otherwise used without the expressed written permission of Flynn, which will only be given in writing. No verbal permissions are acceptable.

The one exception is material such as corporate trademarks or written materials, such as price lists or user manuals, of camera or photographic materials companies who hold the copyright to those materials. We cannot give you any rights to this material or give you permission to use it. It is provided for education purposes only and you make use of it at your peril.

Purchase of Prints

The images on these pages are the work of Flynn Marr who owns the copyright to them. Please understand that the purchase of a print is for the print only and the right to own it, sell it, and display it as you may wish. If you sell it these restrictions are to follow the print. The copyright remains with Flynn Marr who has the sole right to it and the right to use the image for commercial purposes. 

Applicable Law

By using this Website you agree that the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, will govern these Terms and Conditions  or any dispute that may arise between Flynn and you. Any such disputes are to be settled in the appropriate British Columbia Court and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts.

If any of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision is deemed severable from these Terms and will not affect the validity and enforcablity of the remaining provisions.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Flynn and hold him harmless against any and all legal claims and demands that may arise from your use or misuse of the information or material on this Website.

Limitation of Liability

Flynn not liable for any damages you may experience as a result of your use or misuse of this Website.

Amendment of Terms and Conditions

The Flynn reserves the right to edit, modify and change these Terms at any time and it is your responsibility to review them regularly. An attempt will be made to notify users of changes to these Terms via the Website Newsletter, but it is your responsibility to subscribe to this Newsletter and to read these Terms periodically. You are responsible for reading these Terms and periodic changes and we assume no responsibility to keep you up to date.
