The Model JS is a Model S to which a slow speed dial has been added. The slow dial has speeds 1,2,4,8,and 20th’s of a second. Their history is largely unknown and no production records have ever been found. Very few examples have survived.

I chose their camera line both for my personal photography and to collect for reasons lost to memory. I have been happy with Canon and have been totally impressed with the quality of their equipment. Other manufacturers make some excellent camera gear as well and nothing I say here is to disparage their offerings.
