The IID2 is an upgrade of the IID1. Changes include an upgrade/redesign of the shutter mechanism and range finder optics.These changes are internal and not easily observed.

More obvious is the addition of a slow speed dial lock and a moving of the split speed from 1/25th to the 1/30th second. This model retains the ASA reminder dial on the film winder knob.
