Notes: Well, reading Dechert’s book I can’t really figure out the differences between the IVF and IVS models. Apparently they are identical on the outside but they slowly morphed from one to the other with internal changes. I hope, in the future, the fog will clear as I get to examine more cameras and read a little more widely.
According to Peter Dechert Canon was not really good at keeping detailed records and they made improvements internally while production went on so that models merged into each other and the records that exist don’t clearly say which serial number ranges belong to which improvements..
I have shown the production dates for each model and I have given the estimated production for both together. The serial number range also includes both types.
Collection No.: C-115

Acquisition: 19 July 2016 Craig’s List
I have listed this as a Model IVS BUT, truth be told, I am not sure if it is a IVF or IVS. It seems to function smoothly but I have yet to test the shutter and try a roll of film through it. But I will.
Detailed instructions for this camera are available in the User Manual. This booklet also has a listing of the various Canon models.
