CoCo enjoys it when the family gets together. This year she sat at the table with us Christmas Eve after having had her fill of smoked salmon earlier while we were preparing dinner.

Christmas this year is very quiet. Susan and I are staying home and spending it together. Caesar and the children came over on Christmas Eve for a traditional Vigilia dinner of seafood.
My son Gordon was having a Christmas Eve party at his house this year again and we were unable to go and that was the only sour note to our holiday.
Susan has spent the morning on the phone talking to her friends and her family in Italy. Then we sat and opened our presents. Tonight we will be staying home but we won’t have to cook. We have enough leftovers from last night to do us for the rest of the week!

Here we are at the table. For those who don’t know the family, from the left, Caesar, Shiela, Lise, Dominic, Susan at the fat end of the table, and then Emily, Nico’s girlfriend, Nico, and Sam. It was a wonderful evening and I think Vigilia is a great custom!
