Housewarming and a Birthday

The house is not totally finished yet but Kate and Colin are moved in. Outside needs work but inside is beautiful.

Last year Kate and Colin decided to remodel the house that Colin was raised in. It was servicable but it was old and showing its years. They hired an architect and moved out for the construction crews. And several months later they moved back in to an essentially new house.

The 27th of May, last Saturday, was Sarah’s birthday and that seemed a good time to have a party and introduce the new house to the family. And it was special because all of the Marr clan were able to make it. And it was a great afternoon!

The setting for this house is beautiful. It is on a hillside looking out over the property. There is a meadow, small hills, beautiful trees, and a walkway that diappears down a path into the woods.

Sarah’s birthday cake  was chocolate, rich, heavy, with lots of icing. This was very much my kind of cake.

This is my daughter Kathleen’s family, Colin, Sarah, Kate and Paul. I am so proud of all of them.

The weather was warm and sunny and we were able to sit outside. The adults gathered under the big pecan tree to eat and socalize. In the background the kids use the trampoline or play badminton.

And finally, here is the Marr family. It is not often that all five of our children and their families can get together.
