It happened this way: Joe’s sister’s son wanted to get married in Cuba. A destination wedding it was to be. Joe suggested that Susan and I come and Katie and Jimmy were interested as well. The package tour was very reasonable for 7 days in Varadero, Cuba, all inclusive, so it was agreed. The four of us were off and it turned out to be a great trip.
There were three groups at the wedding: there were the Bride and Groom’s friends, there were the Brides parents and their friends, and then there were the Italian’s, the grooms parents and friends. The tall boy in the center is Mario, the groom, and this is his family’s party. And it was a party!
Cuba was very interesting although six days is far to short a time to get to know a place. Especially if you have a wedding taking up two of those days. But we got out and about and it was lovely.
